  Arthritis Treatment and Joint Replacement

Arthritis of the knee or hip can be extremely debilitating, causing pain so severe, daily activity such as walking becomes frustrating, painful, even impossible. Our philosophy is to begin conservatively with non-surgical treatment. However, in those cases where surgery is necessary to relieve joint pain, our physicians are skilled in using the most advanced procedures available which has earned them a reputation for excellence in the medical community. Nearly 700 joint replacement procedures are performed each year by our experienced physicians.

  Hand, Wrist, Upper Extremity

Dramatic advances have been made in recent years in treating patients with hand and wrist injuries, degenerative disorders and birth defects of the hand. Towson Orthopaedic Associates is at the forefront of treating hand and wrist problems. Our specialty-trained surgeons perform thousands of procedures each year, from relieving pain caused by common problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome to more advanced conditions and injuries requiring reconstructive, microvascular, and/or endoscopic surgery.

  Foot and Ankle

Many foot, ankle and lower leg problems require the expert attention of an orthopaedic surgeon. At Towson Orthopaedic Associates, we focus on the care and treatment of all foot and ankle problems. From discomfort caused by bunions, "fallen arches", hammertoes, shoeing problems, and athletic injuries to severe ankle sprains and ligament tears requiring arthroscopic surgery, we offer the latest treatment available for foot and ankle problems.
