Maryland's first Women's Sports Medicine Center committed to the overall health, fitness and well being of the female athlete - any age, any competitive level.
The Women's Sports Medicine Center at Towson Orthopaedic Associates offers treatment for the female athlete. With more than 55 million female athletes nationwide, The Women's Sports Medicine Center's team of specially-trained healthcare professionals focuses on the treatment, training and nutritional demands unique to the female athlete.

Our Staff: Teri Metcalf McCambridge, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Teri Metcalf McCambridge, the director of The Women's Sports Medicine Center, is a board certified pediatrician with fellowship training in adolescent and sports medicine. She has a BS degree in Zoology with a minor in Nutrition from The Ohio State University. She attended the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Her fellowship training in sports medicine was completed at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. McCambridge is a former gymnast and currently an avid runner. She is a team physician for Towson University, Friends School and Hereford High School. In addition, she provides medical care for the gymnasts at Rebounders (a private gymnastics gym). She has also been selected as a member of the National Referral Network for USA Gymnastics.
Dr. McCambridge's goal for The Women's Sports Medicine Center is to provide women with a Center that diagnoses and treats sports-related injuries, provides preventative programs, and develops classes for health education and wellness.

Stephanie Pippin, ATC, MEd
Head Athletic Trainer, Towson Sports Medicine
Stephanie received her undergraduate degree (BS) from Slippery Rock University and her Masters of Education (MEd) from Salisbury University. She is a board certified athletic trainer. Her role at TSM includes assisting with the Walk-in Clinic, The Running Center, The Women's Sports Medicine Program, as well as the Weight Mangement Program for Chidren, Fit-n-Fun.

Abby Douek, PT, MPT
Physical Therapist, Towson Sports Medicine
Abby earned her undergraduate degree (BS) at Wake Forest University in 2000 and her Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of Delaware in 2002. Abby is the certified instructor for the Towson Sports Medicine ACL Prevention Program designed to decrease risk of injury and increase overall agility and speed on the field.
