Dr. Todd Tredinnick Honored with William B. Howard Team Physician Award

William B. Howard, M.D. - Team Physician Award: Dr. Todd TredinnickTowson Orthopaedic Associates is proud to announce that Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. Todd Tredinnick, is the recipient of the William B. Howard Team Physician Award of 2019 as recognized by the Maryland Athletic Trainers Association.

This award, named in memory of William H. B. “Bill” Howard, is presented to a physician who, like Dr. Howard, exemplifies what it means to be a team physician.

For nearly four decades, Dr. Howard cared for athletes of all ages, athletic abilities, and endeavors. Dr. Howard possessed a tireless work ethic and truly epitomized what it meant to be a “Team Physician”.

Having had Dr. Howard as part of our team, Towson Orthopaedics is proud to recognize yet another exceptional team physician in Dr. Tredinnick.

Dr. Tredinnick was nominated for this award by many current and former members of the Harford County athletic community including Edgewood High School’s Head Athletic Trainer, Katie Sporing, LAT, ATC.

In her nomination letter, Ms. Sporing says “When Dr. Howard suddenly passed away, I thought no doctor I would work with would ever really be able to live up to his standard. I was lucky enough that Dr. Tredinnick, without hesitation, came to me and said that he would take over as team physician for Edgewood High School . . . Having worked with Dr. Howard and knowing the standard he set of being a ‘Team Physician’, Dr. Todd Tredinnick is a man of the same values and commitment to the student-athletes and athletic trainers.”

She says Dr. Tredinnick is recommended by many of the ATCs in the area when orthopedic care is needed because “he ‘gets’ sports medicine, is empathic to the athletes, and has a bedside manner that makes parents and athletes realize that everything will be ok.”
