Dr. Steele specializes in hip and knee replacement, with a focus on advanced surgical techniques and personalized, patient-centered care. He utilizes state-of-the-art technology including robotic-assisted surgery, partial knee replacement, anterior hip replacement, and enhanced postoperative pain control protocols to support faster recovery and long-term outcomes.
His clinical and research interests include hip and knee replacement, revision joint reconstruction, anterior hip replacement, and rapid recovery pathways after surgery. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on joint replacement and orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Steele completed his undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College, where he played Division I lacrosse. He now lives in Baltimore with his wife and children.
Dr. Steele earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he graduated cum laude and received the John N. Delahay Award for Outstanding Achievement in Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Duke University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in adult reconstruction and joint replacement at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. During his fellowship, he received the Clinical Excellence Award for the Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Service.
He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
